While you’re staying with us at The Marmara Park Avenue Hotel, savor every moment. Here are some ideas to inspire your 48 hours in NYC.

In The Mornings

Coffee Shops

Start your day in true New York style and wake up with a coffee in one of the city’s beloved coffee shops. Check out our blog post on New York’s favorite coffee shops to help you choose.

Birch Coffee is a good choice for strong coffee enthusiasts who want to embrace New York life and chat with strangers. Head to the Bean to start your day with some people watching while sipping on a cozy beverage.

Central Park

Once the caffeine hits, you’ll be ready to take on the day. Why not begin with a wander around Central Park? This world-famous park is in central Manhattan, so take a stroll in the morning sunshine, or rent a bike and cycle around the park.

You can even join a yoga class if you fancy some gentle exercise. Visit Central Park Zoo where you can discover 130 different species.

In The Afternoons

Metropolitan Museum of Art

During your 48 hours in NYC, visiting some of New York’s well-known landmarks is a must. After taking a walk around Central Park, head to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which expands across 11.5 acres of Central Park. It showcases an incredible collection of art that spans over 5,000 years, with thousands of prehistoric objects, paintings, and artefacts, leading up to the present day.

Statue of Liberty

We recommend a trip to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Book tickets and take the ferry across to witness the magnificence of Lady Liberty yourself and wander around Ellis Island at your own pace.

9/11 Memorial

While visiting the 9/11 memorial and museum may feel like a serious experience for a fun-filled 48 hours in New York, it’s a must-see part of the trip.  Walk around the gardens in memory of those who tragically passed away, where you will find large fountains in place of the World Trade Center towers.
