Inspired by the hammams of the Ottoman Empire, the authentic Turkish hammam, or Turkish bath, at our NYC hotel spa brings a centuries old ritual to the heart of Midtown Manhattan.
Step into a beehive shaped marble chamber, heated from beneath to a warm and comfortable temperature. Relax on the marble seating along the walls as the steam loosens toxins and impurities, and rinse off with warm water whenever you like.
At the center of the room is a large, flat marble stone where the traditional body treatment takes place. Your attendant scrubs and smooths your skin with a kessa glove, then covers you in a cloud of foam made with traditional black soap, finishing with a warm rinse.
