Radio City Christmas Spectacular returns!

See the Radio City Rockettes & these Other NYC November Favorites

The leaves are changing color, and there is a crisp, cool breeze in the air. It can mean only one thing—November has arrived in New York City. For many people, November in NYC means looking forward to The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. For others, it means Christmas is almost here!

For those of you who are looking to get into the festive spirit a little early, we’ve gathered a few of our favorite events taking place in NYC during the month of November:

Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular

(November 5-January 2)

The Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular is a must-see during your time in New York. This dance company has been going strong since 1925, making its mark on history by joining the USO and performing at a presidential inauguration. They began dancing at the Radio City Music Hall in 1932. Now, you can see the amazingly precise performers by purchasing tickets or opting for the VIP experience.

Take the opportunity to do a little sightseeing on your 25-minute walk from The Marmara Park Avenue. Your route to the Radio City Music Hall will take you through Koreatown and by Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan.

Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting

(December 1)

Rockefeller Center is only 3 minutes from Radio City Music Hall. Before the famous Rockettes entertain you, swing by to take a look at the giant tree. Although the tree lighting ceremony takes place on December 1st, the unlit tree typically makes an entrance in mid-November.

Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park

(October 29-December 31)

We’ve talked about Bryant Park’s Winter Village before, but we’ve mainly discussed the ice-skating rink. While that is an attractive feature, there is so much more to do! This Christmas tree-lined shopping, skating, and dining destination will make you feel like you’ve stepped inside a Hallmark Christmas movie. The Lodge by Prime Video offers festive drink and food options, while the shops by Urbanspace provide an early holiday shopping opportunity.

Union Square Holiday Market

(November 18-December 24)

This holiday market is a 19-minute walk from The Marmara Park Avenue. Stroll through and admire some impressive light displays while browsing booths that feature some of NYC’s favorite boutiques, artists, and food creators. Don your hats and gloves, grab a cup of warm hot chocolate, and find unique gifts for those you love.

The Nutcracker Ballet

(November 26-January 2)

This classic performance is sure to get any Scrooge into the holiday mood—and what better company to see than The New York City Ballet? Relive the enchanting story of a young girl, her nutcracker prince, and their Christmas Eve adventures.

Take a long, 45-minute stroll through Midtown, past Central Park, to get to Lincoln Center or walk just a few minutes from the hotel to the nearest subway station. Our concierge staff is always happy to arrange for a taxi or Uber, as well.

When visiting NYC in November, be sure to set aside time to get into the holiday spirit with tickets to The Radio City Rockettes or by visiting another festive section of our city. As for accommodations, there is no better place to stay than The Marmara Park Avenue. Our cozy, king-sized beds and walk-in showers will help you warm up after a day of festive fun.
