The Marmara Park Avenue Wins Best Luxury/Upscale Hotel Award

Unique and inspiring design has become as essential as clean sheets in the hospitality industry. Whether he is traveling for business or pleasure, a traveler seeks to be transformed and return home as a better and happier version of himself. Hotels can utilize two main elements in delivering such transformation to their guests: their service and their product, both of which should wow the guest or hotel’s performance will suffer among fierce competition in the market. We are proud to announce that the Marmara Hotels has recently come out as the winner in such competition.

Hospitality Design (HD) magazine, which honors some of the best achievements—in both project and product categories—in hospitality design around the globe, has celebrated their 12th annual HD Awards. This year, nearly 540 projects were submitted across 20 categories, including Luxury/Upscale Hotel, Sustainable Project, Lifestyle Hotel, and Casual Restaurant.

 

A talented and accomplished panel of industry professionals selected this year’s HD Awards winners and finalists. For projects: Mark Boekenheide, senior vice president, hotel development, Related Companies; Aliya Khan, director of studio operations, NeueHouse Studio; Tony Machado, vice president design and construction, Morgans Hotel Group; Anwar Mekhayech, partner, DesignAgency; and Kristina O’Neal, partner, AvroKO took the lead in selecting the winners while Amy Hulbert, managing director of design, Best Western International; Kellie Sirna, principal, Studio 11 Design; and David Tracz, partner, //3877 were responsible for selecting the winners in the products categories.

We are very humbled and honored to announce that our newest addition to the family, The Marmara Park Avenue was a finalist in two categories: Guestrooms or Suites for the Luxury/Upscale Hotel and the Luxury/Upscale Hotel and came out as the winner in the latter among strong candidates. Hospitality Design magazine announced the winners at a celebratory event held at Cipriani in New York City. Our accomplishment as well as all other winners in rest of the categories can be found in the June issue of HD magazine.

Although it didn’t come as a surprise to see that Marmara Hotel Group’s partnership with Joe Ginsberg Design Firm showed award-winning results in the realization of the Marmara Park Avenue hotel project, we still feel lucky to have been awarded the winning title in Luxury/Upscale Hotel category considering how beautiful and awe-inspiring other finalists in this category were.
