Bridge

The Brooklyn Bridge is an iconic landmark in New York City. Built-in 1883, it has become a National Historic Landmark with the National Park Service. Mornings are the best time to go, as the bridge tends to get crowded in the afternoons and early evenings. Spring and fall are the best times of the year to go, as the temperatures aren't too hot or too cold.

Visit Central Park

Central Park-1

Central Park is an enjoyable place to spend time throughout the year. Spring brings blooms and cherry blossoms, summertime is perfect for picnics, in fall, the foliage looks as if it's on fire, then winter it looks like a winter wonderland. You can take bird-watching tours, walk around on your own, admire the many bridges, or take a walking tour.

Times Square

Times Square-1

Because Times Square is essentially a pedestrian-dedicated street intersection, it is free to visit. No visit to NYC would be complete without a trip to Times Square. You'll see street performers, flagship stores, and larger-than-life billboards. For the complete experience, visit during the day and night. It is breathtaking to see all of the lights of Times Square at night.

Staten Island Ferry

Staten-Island-ferry

It may sound surprising, but you can ride the Staten Island Ferry for free. Not only do you get to spend some time out on the water, but it also gives you a unique view of the city. The ferry also gives you a great view of the Statue of Liberty. Head out just before sunset for some beautiful photography opportunities.

Attend a Live Taping

Tonight Show

It's not every day that you get to see what it takes to produce a television show. It is free to be an audience member, and you get to see the show's stars up close. For example, you could see the live taping of The View, The Tonight Show, and several others.

Little Island
