Dear Guests,

As New York City is reopening Key to NYC has been launched to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Key to NYC requires certain establishments to verify that staff and patrons are vaccinated against COVID-19.

Key to NYC was launched on August 17, 2021.

The Marmara Park Avenue/Nomad Café & Catering LLC/MPA 32 reserves the right to go beyond the Key to NYC requirements and require full vaccination for any areas noted in this letter.

 

FAQ

What types of entities need to ask for proof of vaccination?

Certain types of indoor entertainment, recreation, dining and fitness establishments are required to check that their visitors and staff are vaccinated.

What spaces are considered “indoors”?

Spaces are those that have a roof or overhang and three (3) or more walls.

Structures on a sidewalk or roadway that are entirely open on the side facing the sidewalk as well as private domes with adequate ventilation are considered outdoors.

What types of indoor entertainment settings are required to comply?

Movie theaters, music and concert venues, adult entertainment, casinos, botanical gardens, commercial event and party venues, museums and galleries, aquariums, zoos, professional sports arenas and indoor stadiums, convention centers and exhibition halls, performing arts theaters, bowling alleys, arcades, indoor play areas, pool and billiard halls, and other recreational game centers. If a venue has both indoor and outdoor portions, only the indoor portion need to be in compliance.

What types of food establishments are required to comply?

Restaurants, bars, coffee shops, night clubs, cafeterias as well as any dining establishments in hotels, colleges, universities, and malls. This including businesses that operate indoor seating at food courts such as hotels and malls as well as businesses that provide on-premises catering.

What types of fitness establishments are required to comply?

Standalone and hotel gyms and fitness centers as well as those found in higher education institutions and any gyms and fitness centers or places that holds indoor group classes (two (2) or more participants led by an instructor).

Establishments that are exempt from Key to NYC are private residential buildings when those are only available to residents, office buildings that are only available to office staff, Pre-K through grade 12 schools (including child care programs) and senior- and community centers.

Verifying Proof of Vaccination?

Employees, patrons, interns, and volunteers at Key to NYC establishments must display proof of vaccination. Businesses may keep a record of people who have previously provided proof of vaccination rather than requesting proof to be displayed every time the person enters the establishment.

Individuals under the age of twelve (12) may enter Key to NYC establishments without displaying proof of vaccination so long as they wear a face mask, except when eating and drinking, whenever they are unable to maintain six (6) feet oof distance from others.

Types of Proof of Vaccination

A photo or hard copy of their CDC vaccination card

New York State Excelsior App

Official vaccine record (minimum 1 dose required)

A photo or hard copy of an official vaccination record of a vaccine administered outside of the United States for one of the following vaccines: AstraZeneca/SK Bioscience, Serum Institute of India/COVISHIELD and Vaxzevria, Sinopharm, or Sinovac.

In addition, and acceptable proof of ID must be present for anyone appearing to be 18 years of age or older (Driver’s license, non-driver ID card, IDNYC card, passport or school/work ID).

Any individual that refuses to show proof of vaccination may not enter except for quick and limited purposes while wearing a mask whenever they are unable to maintain six (6) feet of distance from others.
